In 2022, misinformation about COVID-19 was spreading almost as fast as the virus. With Inspire World International Foundation (IWIF), I led community health outreach to answer it with facts, warmth and a little creativity, delivering health education and awareness to more than 500 students and community residents.
As Project Manager, I planned and ran the whole thing: writing the workplans, sharing out responsibilities and managing the timeline so every deliverable landed on time. I set up the project in Trello and Excel, with clear task owners, progress tracking and simple reports, and I coordinated the volunteers and team in the field so everyone knew their role.
I turned the health information into materials people would actually read, using Word, PowerPoint and Figma. Students made the message their own, holding placards that said “My face mask is my weapon” and “I pledge to combat COVID-19 misinformation”. Afterwards, I gathered the data on participation and reach, fed it into the evaluation, and recommended how future outreach could engage communities even better.
